How we update prices, colors and sizes

The last catalog update

The catalog was last updated on September 15, 2026. That update set the price of every color of every box, brought back colors that are available again and removed the ones that are not.

So a color you saw last month can be missing today, while another color of the same box is still listed.

How often we update

We update on a schedule. Between two updates, the prices you see come from the last one, and prices at our retail partner can move in the meantime.

When the price at checkout differs from this site, the checkout price is the one that counts, because it is what you pay.

Where the product facts come from

Outside measurements, materials, the number of boxes in a set, ring slots, drawers and colors come from our own product data. Where two descriptions of the same box disagree, we print the more careful one or leave the detail out: one drawer unit, for example, shows no drawer count because its descriptions give two different numbers.

The rating and the number of ratings on a style are the ones shown for it at our retail partner, shared by all its colors.

Color names like "Black lining" on the wooden boxes and "Letter S" on the travel cases are read from the photographs, because the product data for those only carries a code.

Our velvet box care page draws on the Canadian Conservation Institute for storing silver and on GIA for pearls. Each source is listed at the bottom of this page with the date we read it.
